When does the challenge take place?
The challenge is available now inside the Midnight Music Community. As soon as you sign up for the membership, you will have direct access to the challenge.
Who is this 5-day challenge for?
This challenge is suitable for music teachers of all types - elementary, middle school, and high school teachers, private studio teachers and ensemble leaders.
What’s involved with the challenge?
Each day you’ll have a bite-sized task to complete and by the end of the week you’ll have created a complete playalong video with scrolling notation (and some of you may choose to create more than one!). You’ll be able to choose your level of involvement: score and video materials will be provided for those that simply want to learn the “mechanics” of setting up the playalong and synchronizing the score with the video, but if you want to create your score and video components from scratch you can do that too!
What will I need to take part in the challenge?
You’ll need to have a Mac or PC laptop/desktop computer, or a Chromebook, plus internet access.
Do I need to watch the tutorials live at a specific time? What if I fall behind?
No - all tutorials and other materials are pre-recorded so you can watch at any time that suits you, your time zone and your other commitments! There are no hard deadlines for the challenge and all learning materials are available in the Midnight Music Community.
Can I get a professional development certificate for this training?
Yes, you can get a professional development certificate.
